You can start this program Summer, Fall or Spring term. Many choose to start during the Summer term, which allows them to meet their instructors and fellow students. But we offer admission any term for those who want to get started right away.
U.S. applicants (outside of Colorado) for online programs: please be sure to check your eligibility by state of residence.
We recommend that you apply at least 60 days before the start of your first semester, but you can contact the Program Coordinator to confirm upcoming deadlines.
A completed application typically takes four to six weeks to process. The application process and necessary forms are available on the UNC School of Music's How to Apply page (button below). When you begin the UNC Graduate School Application, choose Music M.M. - Music Education Emphasis (Extended Campus) as your academic program of interest.
All international (non-U.S. citizen) applicants should mark Yes for "Are you an international student?" at the beginning of the graduate application process. In addition to any application steps listed above, you will also need to prepare the following for your application:
