You will need to obtain your own clinical preceptors (licensed physician, nurse practitioner, nurse midwife or physician assistant). At least 200 of your total 1,065 clinical hours must be with a nurse practitioner.
DNP Capstone Project
Because of the clinical focus of this degree, rigorous academic standards are maintained throughout the program rather than completion of a dissertation. The student will complete a 6 credit hour DNP Capstone project. This will be an evidence-based, scholarly project designed by the student in collaboration with a faculty advisor (via the NURS 795 and 798 courses).
