Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health & Developmental Disorders of Infancy & Early Childhood (DC: 0-5)

A Fall 2019 Special Education Professional Renewal Course

Delivered in Loveland, CO, and online.

This course is designed to provide graduate level students in the areas of psychology, social work, special education and counseling, and other related majors, with a clear understanding of DC: 0-5 - Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood, (Zero to Three, 2016).

This course will combine community learning, lecture, and application of knowledge to case studies through a two-day, face-to-face format with follow-up online community of learning meetings and case application.

Course is graded Pass / Fail.

  • Eligibility

    Graduate Students

    UNC Degree-Seeking Students

    Current UNC graduate students can register for this course.

    Non-Degree-Seeking Students

    Non-degree-seeking graduate status refers to a student who has earned at least a bachelor's degree and who either:

    • Has applied to UNC Graduate School and not yet been admitted or;
    • Wishes to take this graduate class but not pursue a degree.

    Please note, as a non-degree seeking student, you are not eligible for federal financial aid.

    Undergraduate Students

    Juniors and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher are permitted to take 500-level courses.

    Please note that if you are not a UNC student you will need to  submit your official transcripts for evaluation. This could take up to 4 weeks for evaluation.

    Dropping and Withdrawing

    If you wish to drop or withdraw from the course, you must do so on or before the deadline dates listed in the Course Basics box.

    • If you are registered for any other courses in the same academic term, you can drop or withdraw within your Ursa account.
    • If this is your only course this term, please contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@unco.edu or 970-351-4862.
