Instructional Best Practices in Social Studies
Summer 2021 Sections of this Online Educational Technology Workshop
This course provides participants with the opportunity to study aspects of best practices and strategies in civics, geography, and history in an online or blended learning model. Participants will produce a lesson reflecting instructional practices that they will be able to implement in their classroom.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to...
- Recognize best practices for online/blended learning instruction
- Articulate best practices for civics, geography and history instruction
- Design, develop, and deliver a standards-based social studies lessons appropriate for their grade level and teaching environment based on best instructional practices
Grading will be Pass/Fail: a minimum score of 80% will be required to pass.
