A Summer 2026 Workshop
The (CCWCD) Confluence Institute is a hands-on professional development workshop designed for K–12 teachers and non-traditional educators. This workshop explores the relationships between urban environments and water systems across Colorado.
Participants will deepen their understanding of how cities interact with their watersheds while examining historical and geographical factors that have shaped urban water use in the state. The workshop also delves into the policy context of water management, including how Colorado meets the Clean Water Act requirements and other federal standards for water quality monitoring.
Course is graded satisfactory/unsatisfactory.

Non-degree-seeking graduate status refers to a student who has earned at least a bachelor’s degree and who either:
- Has applied to UNC Graduate School and has not yet been admitted.
- Wishes to take this graduate course but not pursue a degree.
Please note, as a non-degree seeking student, you are not eligible for federal financial aid for this course.
