Cohort 9 (Fall 2025 Start Term)
All students will take the academic coursework for the master’s degree in fall and spring terms during year one and year two.
If you are completing the MS with Dietetic Internship, the timing of your internship depends on the pathway you chose.
- Accelerated pathway students will begin the internship portion of the program during the first summer term and will complete internship rotations and remaining coursework during the final fall and spring terms.
- Traditional pathway students will complete the coursework in less than two years (fall and spring terms only), and will begin the internship portion of the program the summer term after you complete the coursework.
Please reach out to the points of contact below to be sure that you are signing up for the coursework and internship supervision options that match your timeline.

Tuition
This Extended Campus program has a flat per-credit tuition rate for all students and no student fees or technology fees. The program tuition rate for the 2025-26 academic year (which runs fall, spring, and summer terms) is $698 per credit. Tuition for the 2026-27 academic year will be set in mid-June 2026.
Please note: some courses may include assessment, course, participation or supervision fees. These fees cover added services and materials. Most Extended Campus courses do not include these fees. You can check the current course-specific UNC Academic Fees. Note: Program Fees do not apply to Extended Campus programs.
For information about paying your bill, including UNC’s BearPay monthly payment option, visit the Bursar’s Office Your Bill page.
Estimates of additional costs: For the purposes of determining financial aid, UNC follows Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) and federal guidelines to develop an estimated, average Cost of Attendance (budget) for different student classifications. For your personal tuition estimates, we recommend using the program-specific tuition information above. But UNC’s official Cost of Attendance/Student Budgets page can help you identify other estimated expenses for which you may be responsible while completing your program.
