O&M Strategies and Communication Techniques When Working With Students Who are Deafblind
This Special Education Professional Renewal Graduate Course allows for graduate credit tied to attendance at this seminar, which is presented in collaboration with ACVREP and the Colorado Department of Education.

- Rapport and building trust.
- Sign language considerations.
- Basic tactile language/communication for discussions and providing quick information while on the move.
- Available accessible telecommunication and smartphone apps.
- Strategies for soliciting information and assistance from people in their community.
- Why and when to use adaptive mobility devices (AMDs).
Case studies, stories and videos will be shared; participants will engage in activities on both days of this training.
