Tuition
This Extended Campus program has a flat per-credit tuition rate for all students and no student fees or technology fees. The program tuition rate for the 2025-26 academic year (which runs fall, spring, and summer terms) is $466 per credit. Tuition for the 2026-27 academic year will be set in mid-June 2026.
Please note: some courses may include assessment, course, participation or supervision fees. These fees cover added services and materials. Most Extended Campus courses do not include these fees. You can check the current course-specific UNC Academic Fees. Note: Program Fees do not apply to Extended Campus programs.
For information about paying your bill, including UNC’s BearPay monthly payment option, visit the Bursar’s Office Your Bill page.
Estimates of additional costs: For the purposes of determining financial aid, UNC follows Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) and federal guidelines to develop an estimated, average Cost of Attendance (budget) for different student classifications. For your personal tuition estimates, we recommend using the program-specific tuition information above. But UNC’s official Cost of Attendance/Student Budgets page can help you identify other estimated expenses for which you may be responsible while completing your program.

Finding Your Textbooks and Materials
To find books for the courses you have registered for, go to Ursa and choose My Textbooks under the Student tab. Materials lists are usually available six weeks before each course begins.
- The UNC Bookstore will have the required materials lists for your classes. You can search for your course sections and order online.
- You can also search for each required item through other online textbook retailers.
Registering for *Non-Extended-Campus* Courses (If Needed for LAC or Elective Requirements)
You are able to take online UNC courses that are not offered through Extended Campus. You will generally do this to fulfill LAC or elective requirements.
You can register for “campus-based” online sections of courses if space is available. But you will need to use the following process to register as an Extended Campus student. This will ensure that you do not pay extra fees or non-resident tuition.
Registration Steps for LAC/general elective courses
You will NOT need to use this process for the courses listed on this page.
