Spring 2025 Workshop for Performers

In this course, you will...

  • Learn fundamental principles of performance psychology applicable to common performance issues for artists; these include performance anxiety, confidence, and goal-setting, among others. Specific psychological skill development will be emphasized.
  • Develop a personal plan for incorporating these psychological skills into your performances.
  • Learn future resources for long-term support in the development of the psychological skills related to performance.
  • Test out two of these skills over a 1-week period and analyze the result in a short paper.

  • Eligibility

    Attendance at the two in-person sessions is mandatory. Please do not register for the course if you have a schedule conflict with any portion of the in-person sessions.

    Undergraduate Students

    Non-Degree-Seeking Students

    If you are not seeking a degree at UNC, but have earned a GED or high school diploma, you may take this course (whether it is for personal interest; professional development; as a pre-requisite to a UNC program; or to transfer to another college or university). Please note, as a non-degree seeking student, you are not eligible for federal financial aid.

    Dropping and Withdrawing

    If you wish to drop or withdraw from the course, you must do so on or before the deadline dates listed in the Course Basics box.

    • If you are registered for any other courses in the same academic term, you can drop or withdraw within your Ursa account.
    • If this is your only course this term, please contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@unco.edu or 970-351-4862.

    It is your responsibility to know the drop and withdrawal deadlines and procedures.
